Without doubt one of the North East's favourite artists, Alison graduated from Gray's School of Art in 2004. Based in Milltimber just outside the Granite City, her work is an ongoing exploration and experimentation with colour and surface. Working primarily in oils and pastels, Alison's work is bold, colourful, vibrant and often shows a wonderful quirkiness. The Ballater Gallery is delighted to exhibit Alison's work as we know how quickly it sells. Whilst also teaching her ever popular art classes at her Aberdeen studio, Alison's work isn't easy to purchase as her shows often sell out almost immediately. One of Alison's huge strengths is being able to adapt as buyers' tastes change. Her paintings really do appeal to all generations.
Gallerist comment - ' I've known Alison well, professionally and socially, for quite a few years and I love the way that her terrific fun and colourful personality often translates through her paintings. I particularly like her paintings of fish but, I've also seen at first-hand how discerning buyers also snap up her vibrant modern landscapes.'
